CELL PHONE
There are basically two cell phone providers in the area. In general, Telus
has both the best analog and digital coverage in BC, with Cantel close
behind. Telus and Cantel subscribers have access to both digital and analog
services using dual mode phones.
Telus Mobility
Telus targets both the business and casual user. They provide superior
analog and digital coverage over any other provider, but for this service
subscribers pay a few more bucks a month. They have several packages from
the casual user ($20) up to the power users at 3000 minutes a month.
Cantel AT&T
Cantel also targets both the business and casual user. They provide good
analog and digital coverage of major centres in BC, but lag behind in the smaller
communities when compared to Telus Mobility. Their prices vary somewhat
between provinces, but in general their packages start at $20.
